Jude Bellingham Played in an advanced role out wide while also did plenty of defensive duties. Displayed flashes of quality and mishit an attempt high. Replaced towards the end for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate staying deep, he was forced to provide width down the right side although his balls from the touchline were hit and miss. Taken off with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner with his 77th and 78th goals at international level. The opener a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a classy headed goal having drifted away away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance in future competitions with him up top. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity after being played in from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
