Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views Following Voicing Controversial Covid Feature

Liam Neeson has provided his vocal talents to a new documentary that challenges the safety of vaccinations and praises former health official RFK Jr.

The Film's Contentious Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book written by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for assertions that the illness was a result of a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial radio host a known commentator. He took to social media praising Neeson's role in the film.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for the actor have issued a comment strongly denying claims that he supports anti-vax views.

"Many understand that corruption might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the response explains. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The statement continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that inquiries about its assertions ought to go to the producers.

Major Assertions Within the Film

According to the documentary, the script provided by Neeson features several strong claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "research has become dangerously politicized."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Context and Ongoing Issues

The documentary also references a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the network for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy directed the CDC to alter its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, despite a recent study from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Advocacy

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has formerly expressed strong support for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our story. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
